Here at Ariel Acupuncture Services we use a number of alternative therapy methods to enhance the holistic health of our clients both safely and naturally. These alternative therapies include Acupuncture, Acutonics, Moxibustion, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Gua Sha,& Shonishin, all used with the power of healing.
Acupuncture treatment is the use of extremely thin, pre-sterilized, disposable needles on specific areas of the body. Because the needles are so fine, the procedure is virtually painless. The needles stimulate what the Chinese call Qi (chee); the manipulation of this Qi benefits health and aids in the healing of disease. Acupuncture has no side effects and treats the cause as well as the symptoms. The acupuncture experience is one of relaxation and healing. A variety of common conditions can be successfully treated with acupuncture, Chinese medical herbology, and other traditional Chinese medicine treatments.
The Acutonics Healing System is an energy-based non-invasive modality that is similar to acupuncture. Precision calibrated tuning forks are applied to specific acupuncture and acupressure points to access the body’s Meridian and Chakra energy systems. The sound waves of the forks vibrate and travel deep into the body along energy pathways, affecting human physiology and reaching places not easily accessed by traditional medicine. Applying the forks stimulates and balances the body’s physical and subtle energy fields to promote healing and inner harmony. Listening to the forks speaks to us deeply by connecting with our vestibular system, within the inner ear canal, and accessing our sense of motion, balance, space, memory, and healing.
Cosmetic Acupuncture follows the basic principles of traditional Chinese Medicine, this is done by inserting very fine needles into specific points on the face which increases the flow of Qi and blood to the localised area. Additional body parts are used simultaneously to rebalance any underlying disharmonies that accelerate the aging process and improve overall health and wellbeing.
Used for pain relief and removing toxins and increasing circulation. This involves scraping the skin and is great for respiratory illness and back problems.
A Chinese herb that comes in various forms and is used to warm and enhances regulation on Qi and blood within the body.
A Japanese acupuncture style specifically aimed at maintaining the health of children. It is a painless, non-invasive technique that uses small tools to tap and brush along the meridians and specific acupuncture points. Children’s energy lies very close to the skins surface and therefore is easily accessed by this technique to balance any energy stagnation and improve illness patterns, whether chronic or acute. Shonishin is very affective for treating respiratory illness, digestive upsets, sleep disorders, skin conditions and is useful both pre and post immunizations as it boosts the bodies immune systems.
