Here at Ariel Acupuncture Services we use a number of complementary therapy modalities to enhance the holistic health of our clients both safely and naturally. These adjunctive therapies include Acupuncture, Esoteric Acupuncture, Acutonics® vibrational sound therapy, Auricular therapy, Moxibustion, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Gua Sha and Shonishin.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a relaxing and gentle therapy, using very fine (single use) acupuncture needles inserted into specific acupuncture points on the body. Acupuncture aids the body by stimulating the body’s natural healing abilities, allowing for free Qi (vital energy) flow through the interconnecting meridian pathways of the body.
Acutonics
The Acutonics Healing System is an energy-based non-invasive modality that is similar to acupuncture. Precision calibrated tuning forks are applied to specific acupuncture and acupressure points to access the body’s Meridian and Chakra energy systems. The sound waves of the forks vibrate and travel deep into the body along energy pathways, affecting human physiology and reaching places not easily accessed by traditional medicine. Applying the forks stimulates and balances the body’s physical and subtle energy fields to promote healing and inner harmony. Listening to the forks speaks to us deeply by connecting with our vestibular system, within the inner ear canal, and accessing our sense of motion, balance, space, memory, and healing.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic Acupuncture follows the basic principles of traditional Chinese Medicine, this is done by inserting very fine needles into specific points on the face which increases the flow of Qi and blood to the localised area. Additional body points are used simultaneously to rebalance any underlying disharmonies that accelerate the aging process and improve overall health and wellbeing.
Gua Sha
Used for pain relief and removing toxins by increasing circulation to a localised area of the body.
Moxibustion
A Chinese herb that comes in various forms and is used to warm and enhances regulation on Qi and blood within the body.
Shonishin
A Japanese acupuncture style specifically aimed at maintaining the health of children. It is a painless, non-invasive technique that uses small tools to tap and brush along the meridians and specific acupuncture points. Children’s energy lies very close to the skins surface and therefore is easily accessed by this technique to balance any energy stagnation and improve illness patterns, whether chronic or acute.
